well we have made it to lago buenos aires earlier than expected. it might be because we spent the greater part of the day descending. about 30km of sweet sweet pavement.
we find ourselves traveling through a desert like region again. the mountains instead of being robed in trees that look like moss from a distance stand exposed. the rock has formed in layers of green, pink, red, and even some blues. the spires ahead of us stand tall and proud.
traveling by bike has been the perfect pace for my thoughts. sometimes i find myself working on a story in my mind, thumbing through the pages of my own life story, or just trying to absorb everything i am seeing to commit it to memory for a rainy day later in my life. i have so thoroughly enjoyed these infrequently traveled roads and the community that is formed between cyclists. we ask about our friends who are ahead of us on the road and are excited when someone has spotted them.
well, i cannot say when i will write again. we have the pleasure of waiting till tomorrow morning to catch the ferry across the lake.
i will post pictures again soon...it takes so long! plus this way yall will be excited to see me again!
jude.

comet-
not much to tell you at this end, but i wanted you to know i'm following your adventures via blog. and yes i do envy you your travels. i too would like to be having that sort of adventure. can't imagine how you will stand life here in rediculous eugene. i'm sure it will seem bizarre and irrelevant i am only here because i am having this amazing love given to me. i say only, but of course it is everything. we also have a plentiful supply of good water, as well as organic produce. and although the winter does drag, we don't get sleet or snow ( much ). oh yes, i have made three wheels, one of which has a schmidt generator which makes me feel ever so very something or other. anyway, love you dear comet. see you in a few weeks!
Jude, my dear, you are amazing! I miss talking to you about life because you always inspire me. Sounds like you girls are in paradise. I'm so happy for you! Take care,
Nicole
PS: Dude, I totally came up with the name "El Jefe" for your bike--what did you decide on?
