Mom, Don´t Read This...

In bits and pieces we made it into Buenos Aires and surprsingly, despite all the plane delays, with our bikes and trailers. While waiting for Cari to come in, Leah and I practiced making balloon animals for a little boy. Thus far, the poodle has been mastered. However, the joyful reunion of the chicas did not at all happen until about 930pm and immediately afterwards we took a shuttle into the city as only highways run to the airport. At the end of the shuttle line we realized there was no taxi willing to take 3 chicas with 3 bikes and luggage. So, at 11pm we find ourselves at a bus station putting together our bikes and at 1130pm we find ourselves gleefully navigating Buenos Aires in search of a bed for the night...

Well, we made it, found an all night pizza place and toasted our journey (sadly not with Jubleale...Rachel good luck with that!) but with the national beer of Argentina, which in a taste test could be confused with PBR.

And so now as not to bore you with our mundane details of planning which direction to leave Buenos Aires, I shall go...but, wow is it hot here...HELLO SUMMER!

peace.

Congrats on the ofical start of your journey! Enjoy the warm summer weather. It is so missed right now. Rain, thunderstorms and even an F1 Tornado that ripped through Vacouver Wa suburb. Can't wait hear more. I think my entire department is reading this and living vicariously through you.
Cheers!

Good luck. A link to your blog was posted on bikeforums.net. I know I will be watching, but suspect there might not be a lot of connectivity over much of the terrain. I also like the loco lola name as one of my blogs was Abuelo Loco de Lola. Again, good luck

Congrats on getting out there and DOING IT!!! Most people somehow never seem to manage to take that step.

I'll be reading with interest - my family and I will be taking off from Alaska in June enroute to the southern tip of Argentina. We can't wait!!

Have fun!
